Download Manager is a system service which allows to handle long-running HTTP downloads in the background and notify the triggering application via a broadcast receiver once the download is finished. Tap 'Data Saver' and select the box to enable the Data Saver. While the Data Saver is enabled, automatic updates, browser functions, the Market and e-mail functions will all adjust to conserve data usage.

Press the 'Back' button and select the 'Data Delivery' option. Here you may select or deselect background data delivery, elect whether or not to allow data usage while roaming or elect to turn mobile data off or on entirely. You may also elect to turn data delivery on or off for specific applications under the 'Application Data Delivery' menu.

Warning

  • Turning off mobile data delivery may prevent devices from syncing until they are connected to a Wi-Fi signal. This downtime may prevent important e-mail messages and calendar updates from being downloaded in a timely manner.
